Enterprise Communications and Workflow Optimization

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

Led communications and operations for an $8B+ CDC portfolio serving over 20,000 personnel across 40+ divisions. 

Designed and implemented structured workflows, intake systems, and prioritization frameworks to improve clarity and execution across teams.

 

Improved workflow efficiency by 40%, strengthened communication accuracy, and supported over 30 emergency response efforts annually.

External Communications and Strategic Engagement

Texas A&M-Galveston

Led external communications and stakeholder engagement efforts to translate program priorities, resource needs, and student impact into clear, strategic messaging.

Developed executive-ready materials and presentations that positioned program outcomes, aligned stakeholders, and supported informed decision-making.

Strengthened how programs were communicated and understood, improving leadership alignment and engagement across internal and external audiences.

Program Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement

Atlanta Public Schools 

Led stakeholder engagement and program initiatives supporting over 600 students, families, and staff. Strengthened alignment, communication, and culture across the school community.

Designed structured engagement strategies and tracking systems to improve visibility and coordination across teams.

Improved participation and program outcomes by 15- 25%  while increasing reporting clarity and leadership visibility.

Community Engagement and Strategic Communications

African American Beach Lifeguarding Project

Supported a multi-phase historical marker initiative in partnership with the Texas Historical Commission, focused on honoring the contributions of Black lifeguards in Galveston.

Led communications coordination, stakeholder engagement, and event planning to ensure alignment with community priorities and historical significance.

Strengthened public awareness and contributed to a recognized statewide initiative that advanced community visibility and historical acknowledgment.

Founder and Principal Consultant

Johnson-Walker Education Consulting (JWEC)

Founded a consulting practice focused on strengthening instructional systems, educator capacity, and student engagement across K–12 environments.

Designed and delivered professional learning experiences integrating instructional strategy, literacy, socio-emotional learning, and emerging tools such as AI.

Guided educators to improve instructional clarity, increase student engagement, and strengthen alignment between teaching practices and learning outcomes, while advising on systems that sustain long-term impact.

Additional Leadership and Impact

  • Founded a chapter of the Minority Association for Pre-Medical Students at Auburn University, creating a network supporting over 500 students pursuing careers in medicine

  • Developed a pipeline connecting students to professional pathways in healthcare, expanding access and long-term opportunity at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine-Suwanee

  • Launched community-based initiatives such as “Barbershop Talks,” creating space for conversations around health, financial wellness, and well-being, increasing engagement by 30%

  • Led restorative and trauma-informed initiatives that strengthened culture, belonging, and stakeholder engagement by up to 40%

  • Delivered over 75 culturally responsive workshops in partnership with community organizations, improving access to health education and resources

  • Designed and facilitated parent education programming supporting over 200 families in advocacy, financial literacy, and college and career readiness

  • Developed STEAM programming for over 1,000 students, increasing engagement and participation by up to 60%
